TAFE stands for Technical and Further Education. TAFE offers programmes in the field of Engineering, Business and Information Technology. Students have an opportunity to further develop themselves academically either by enrolling in the Certificate, Diploma or Degree programmes based on their respective interest and qualification.
To proceed further on entry requirements, a student who has completed the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia and either obtained two credits or a single credit in a relevant subject with passes in other subjects will be able to proceed with Certificate programmes. TAFE offers Certificate programmes in the field of Business, Engineering and Information Technology. It will take the student one year and four months to complete the programme. Upon completion the student will be able to proceed with the Diploma programme intended. The certificate provides a strong foundation for Diploma studies.
Students having three credits and above, could pursue a Diploma programme of their choice. Students graduating with certificates from Polytechnics should embark on to continue LAN Accredited courses at our campus.
This programme is a LAN accredited and JPA recognized niche programmes offered at TAFE. The student is expected to have three strong credits in the SPM Examination, preferably in English, Mathematics and Science. The duration of the course stretches for three years. The student will spend two year and four months with the college and another six months with an airline industry. The programme covers the maintenance aspect of aircrafts, to develop skills and technology, to perform safe practices and work ethics related to aircraft maintenance and repair. The student is expected to exercise a high standard of discipline. Upon successful completion of the course students will be employed in airline related industries such as AIR ASIA, Transmile Aircraft Engineering Sdn Bhd, D-Nest, General Electric and other related companies.
This programme is a much sought programme among students who have great interest in the Automotive Industry. The duration of the programme is two years and six months. The objective of the course is to provide training, to develop knowledge and skills related to the theoretical concepts and design features of automotive equipment. To provide practice in the operation, testing, diagnosis and repair of specialist vehicles and equipment used in the industry. Student will get the opportunity to build a successful career as Diagnostic Technicians, Assembly Technicians, Workshop Supervisors, Service Advisors, Fleet Engineers, Technical Assistant, Service Engineers, Service Managers, Garage Owners and even Adjusters with Insurance Company.
E & E, has a combination of electrical and electronics studies, giving the student an opportunity to enhance the field of scientific principles, giving an integrated approach to engineering applications. The course also provides the skills and the e-knowledge of day to day problem solving. The student will have the opportunity to move into exciting career pathways in the Electrical, Electronics, Communication and Defense areas. The LAN accredited and JPA recognized programme is delivered over a period of two years and four months.
The course emphasis is interdisciplinary in the area of mechanical, electrical and electronics engineering giving the student an opportunity to appreciate a mixture of core mechanical engineering subjects and as well as electrical and electronics modules. The LAN accredited and JPA recognized programme is delivered over a period of two years and four months. Graduates have the opportunity to be employed as Technicians, Supervisors, Engineering Assistants, Draftsmen and Lab Technicians.
The Diploma in Civil Engineering is a programme that will take a student two years and four months to complete, covering the area of knowledge and understanding of the environment, the construction industry, the process of design, construction and development. Upon completion students will be able to embark on careers such as Site Supervisor, Designers, Lab Technicians and Draughtsman.
As for the non engineering programme, TAFE offers students a choice to pursue a course in either It will take a student two years and four months to complete the programme. Students who have completed the STPM or its equivalent should take advantage of the programme that TAFE has to offer. This is a programme that TAFE jointly offers with Students have an option of opting for the B Eng (Hon) in Automotive Engineering, B. Eng (Hon) in Electrical & Electronics or the B. Eng (Hon) in Mechanical Engineering.
Student will be required to spend two year at TAFE and nine months at LJMU, United Kingdom. Should the student posses an accredited diploma, they spend one year at TAFE and nine months at LJMU. The nine months stint at United Kingdom will give the added advantage of having the experience of the latest technology and teaching methodology and as well of obtaining mix culture benefits from over 80 countries.
Students may also opt for any of the programs offered.
Merit Scholarships will be rewarded to students who obtain ‘A’s in the relevant core subjects in SPM. Financing education is easier with the availability of funds as loans from government agencies such as PTPTN, SOCSO, MARA, EPF and other Government Cooperatives are available for students.
Students wishing for self finance, may opt to pay the fees monthly in interest free payments over a specified period depending on the duration of the course enrolled for.
With the sealing of LAN accreditation and JPA recognition, the horizon of employment gets wider with the option open at both the private and public sector

So too is the career in this exciting industry. Take your first step towards becoming a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
Enrol for the Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Technology at Kolej TAFE Seremban.
The maintenance personnel in an airline ensures that the airline’s fleet of aircraft confirms to the strict standards of airworthiness set by the aviations regulatory authority.
They service, repair and overhaul various aircraft components and systems including electrical and hydraulic systems, propellers, avionics equipment and aircraft instruments.
It is ironic that, despite performing such an important function, the maintenance crew have for far too long been eclipsed by the more glamorous world of the in-flight crew.
It is only recently that more people have become aware of the role of maintenance personnel.
Skilled maintenance personnel are greatly in demand as airline procure more aircraft to meet the tremendous increase in volume of both passenger and cargo traffic.
It may have been foresight, proactive thinking or shrewd planning, but Kolej TAFE Seremban began offering the Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Technology in 1996. so that it is now an established leader in the field. In the beginning of 2008, Air Asia Berhad signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the college to train the engineering personnel of Air Asia with skills and knowledge required in specified modules of EASA.
The college has to date produced about 2000 graduates who are all gainfully employed in the industry. The diploma is an accredited by MQA (LAN) and there are currently about 600 students pursuing the course in the college.
The Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Technology has been meticulously planned to ensure that students are equipped with the theoretical knowledge and practical skill to meet the requirements of the demanding airline industry.
Lectures are conducted by experienced lecturers. There are also well equipped workshops for practical training.
Students are also sent for on-job-training at related establishments such as Air Asia, MAS, General Electric, D-Nest, Transmile, Eurocopter, Hornbill and Sabah Air to familiarize them with current developments in the industry.
A student who completes the diploma can progress in their career to become a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
The entry requirement for the course is a SPM certificate with credits in Science, Mathematics and one other subject and a pass in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
The admission unit at the college is currently accepting students for the April 2008 Intake. The course fee for the entire duration inclusive of examination fees in only RM17,750 payable by interest free monthly installments. Eligible students may also take government loans such as PTPTN, MARA, EPF, PERKESO, State loans, Cooperatives loans or even bank loans.
Bumiputra students who wish to obtain MARA loans must meet all entry requirement and also have a credit in Bahasa Malaysia.
The other accredited programmes offered at the college would include Automotive Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Management & Accounting.

Kolej TAFE Seremban offers a wide range of accredited programmes by the National Accreditation Board now known as Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) such as in the field of Business, Information Technology and Engineering ranging from Certificates to Degrees.
Students can use their SPM / STPM forecast results to join the college’s January 2008 Intake.
Students are required to have a minimum of three credits in their forecast results, Credits in Mathematics, Science (Physics or Chemistry) and one relevant subject for engineering programmes such as Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Technology, Diploma in Automotive, Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Diploma in Civil Engineering, whereas the Diploma in Electro Mechanical Engineering requires students to a credit in either mathematics or science and two other relevant credits.
The total course fee for engineering programmes at TAFE only cost between RM14,000 and RM18,000 which includes tuition and examination fee.
The non engineering courses include the Diploma in Accounting, Diploma in Management and the Diploma in Information Technology. Students are required to have a minimum of three credits in the forecast results with preference to mathematics and other relevant subjects.
The course fee ranges from RM11,000 to RM12,000 which is payable in interest free monthly installments. Students will be able to apply for PTPTN, MARA and other loans upon receiving of the actual results.
